Being on the coast when a tropical storm is coming. Awesome. With thirty-mile-an-hour winds stirring up the ocean and whipping sand against skin, the beach emanates something fierce and wild.
With dark skies and an anxious sea slapping against the shore, it feels like the earth is having an incredible tantrum. Like it’s all out of control.
But it’s not. It’s never all out of control.
I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the Lord, do all these things.
You heavens above, rain down my righteousness;
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
I, the Lord, have created it. Isaiah 45:7-8
God is in front of every storm. Grace be with you, my friends.
